Bedford Giant Veitchberry - H: 6-8ft, W: 3-4, Sun: Part to full, Fruit: Large blackberry like fruit that are juicy and sweet. Fruit ripens August to September and good for freezing. Note: Cross between raspberry and blackberry by John Sedan, can tolerate poorly drained soil, but is vulnerable to severe frosts, Zone: 6.

 

Boysenberry - H: 5-6ft, W: 4-6ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Sweet and tangy large red/purple berries that ripen in late July and can be used for cobblers, pies, and preserves, Note: A cross between blackberries, loganberries, and raspberries, Zone: 5-9.

 

Boysenberry #43 - H: 5-6ft, W: 4-6ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Sweet and tangy large red/purple berries that ripen in late July and can be used for cobblers, pies, and preserves, Note: A selected vigorous seedling, Zone: 5-9.

 

Chester - H: 4 -5ft, W: 3-4ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Large fruit that holds up to heat and ripens July/August, Note: Self-pollinating, thornless, resistant to cane blight, Zone: 5-8.

 

Dewberry - H: 3ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Small black fruit similar to blackberries that ripen in May/June. Self-pollinating, Zone: 6-10.

 

Douglas Thornless - H: 8 ft, W: 8ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Large, firm blackberries of high quality that ripen around mid-July and harvest lasts about 20 days once it starts. Note: This variety was developed by the USDA from a hand-pollinated cross between Sander and Lawrence varieties of blackberries and released in 1994 by Mr. Barney Douglass. Vines are high yielding. Zone: 6.

 

Lavacaberry - H: N/A , W: N/A , Sun: Full, Fruit: Very similar in size and taste to blackberries, Note: A berry closely related to Boysenberry that was developed and grown for many years in Lavaca, AK, Zone: 6.

 

Marionberry - H: 5-6 ft, W; 2-3 ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Sweet/tart dark purple to blackberries that ripen in July and are good for pies, preserves, and syrup, Note: A cross of blackberries, loganberries, and raspberries by Oregan State University, Zone: 6-9.

 

Ollalieberry - H: 4-6ft, W: 4-6ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Black fruit that is sweet/tart.Note: Cross between loganberry and youngberry by Oregon State University. Self-pollinating, Zone: 7-9.

 

Riwaka's Choice - H: 4-6ft, W: 4-6ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Intense flavored red/purple berries. Note: A New Zealand boysenberry cultivar and self-pollinating, Zone: 5-10.

 

Sunberry - H: 4-8ft, W: 4-8ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Dark glossy berries, that look like blackberries, with loganberry flavor. Note: Developed by East Malling Research Station, Kent, United Kingdom. Self-pollinating, Zone: 6.
 

White - H: 3-8, W: 3-4 ft, Sun: Full to part, Fruit: Large white color blackberries that ripen July. Note: Self-fertile. Zone: 5-8. 

 

Young Thornless Ovenell - H: 4-6 ft, W: 4-6 ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Red berries like that of loganberries. Note: Thornless and self-pollinating. Needs trellising. Zone: 6
