We have the following highbush blueberries (Vaccinium corymbosum) varieties available in 1 gal pots:

 

Aurora - H: 4-5ft, W: 4-5ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Large berries that are sweet/tart and ripen late July to September.  The fruit is more resistant to cracking and shriveling than the Elliot variety. Note: The variety is self-fertile but will yield more when planted with another variety of blueberry. Zone: 3-7.

 

Blue Gold - H: 4 ft, W: 4-5ft, Sun: Full or Part, Fruit: Sweet fruit that ripens in July. Note: Partly self –fertile but should be planted with another variety that ripens in July for higher yields. Zone: 4-8.

 

Blue Jay - H: 5-7 ft, W: 5-7 ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Medium size berries that are sweet and ripen in July. Fruits are able to retain their quality if left on the bushes for a longer period of time than most varieties. Note: This variety is self-fertile but will yield more when planted with another variety of blueberry. Zone: 5-8.

 

Bonus - H: 4-5ft, W: 3-4ft, Sun: Fruit: Very large, sweet berries that ripen in August. Note: Very frost resistant variety, self-pollinating, resistant to many fungal diseases, and good for pick-your own farms. Zone: 4-7.

 

Chandler - H: 4-5ft, W: 4-5ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Juicy, large, sweet fruit that ripen in July, Note: Developed in NJ and self-pollinating, but will produce larger crops if plant with another variety that ripens in around the same time, Zone: 4-7. 
 
Chippewa - H: 3-4ft, W: 3-4ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Very sweet, medium/large berries that ripen early July. Note: Cold hardy variety developed by the University of Minnesota and self-fertile, Zone: 3-8. 
 
Elizabeth - H: 6ft, W: 4-6ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Very large fruit with good flavor that ripens mid/late July, Note: Use Jersey, Legacy, Liberty, Nelson, Chippewa, Blue Gold, or Elliot as a pollinator. Zone: 5-10. 

 

Galaxy - H: 4.5-5 ft, W: 3ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Very sweet large berries that ripen early. Note: We recommend planting this variety with another early ripening variety of blueberry for pollination. Also, this variety is resistant to Phytophthora cinnamomi and requires only 100 chill hours. Zone: 7-10 but being trialed in Zone 5. 

 

Hannah's Choice - H: 5ft, W: 3-4ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Medium size, firm berries that ripen in late June/early July, Note: Use Sweetheart, Chanticleer, or Duke as pollinator, Zone: 5-7. 
 
Herbert - H: 4-6ft, W: 3-4ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Large sweet/tart berries that ripen in late July, Note: A variety that blooms later than most and avoids frost damage. Self-pollinating but will produce more with another variety as a pollinator. Developed in 1932. Zone: 4-7.

 

Northland - H: 3-4 ft, W: 3-4 ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Small berries that ripen early July. Note: We recommend planting this variety with another early ripening variety of blueberry for pollination. Also, the variety has strong limbs that stand up to heavy snows. Zone: 3b - 7a.

 

Polaris - H: 3ft, W: 3-4ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Medium sized sweet berries that ripen in July, Note: Developed by the University of Minnesota for cold areas and use Northland, Blue Ray, Toro, North Country, North Sky, North Blue, Blue Crop, Blue Gold or Chippewa as a pollinator. Zone: 3-7.

 

Rubel - H: 5-7 ft, W: 4-6ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Small, firm berries that ripen in late July and are high in antioxidants, Note: Self-pollinating, but best yields are obtained when planted with a variety like Nelson or Elizabeth. Zone: 3-7.

 

Sunrise - H: 3-4ft, W: 5-6ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Sweet/tangy large berries that ripen June/July, Note: Self-pollinating and heat tolerant, Zone: 5-9. 
 
Sweetheart - H: 5-6ft, W: 3-4ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Medium to large size fruits that ripen late June/early July and store well. Note: Should be planted with Duke or Hannah's Choice, Zone: 4-8. 

 

Talisman - H: N/A, W: N/A, Sun: Full, Fruit: Medium to large size berries that are sweet and mild in flavor. The fruit is firm and holds up well in cold storage.  Note: This variety was developed by the USDA Agricultural Research Service. The variety is a cross between the Elizabeth and Magnolia varieties of blueberries. Also, the variety is a late bloomer which helps to avoid frost. We recommend planting with other late blooming varieties such as Aurora or Elliot for pollination. Zone 4-8. 

 

Toro - H: 5-6 ft, W: 5-6 ft, Sun: Full: Large sweet berries with low acid and ripen mid-July. Note: We recommend planting this variety with another variety that ripens in July for best pollination. Zone: 4b to 7a. 

 

Shipping only available in NY State between May 31st and October 31st. Pickup of potted plants available on the farm or at farmers' market after May 31st and before October 31st.
