We carry the following varieties of gooseberries in 1 gal pots:

 

Amish - H: 2-3ft, W: 4-6ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Medium size deep red fruit that ripen in July. Note: Variety is said to be somewhat resistant to powdery mildew and other fungal diseases. Zone: 4-8. 

 

Black Velvet - H: 3-5ft, W: 3-5ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Large, sweet dark purple fruit with a blueberry like flavor that ripens in late July, Note: Disease resistant and self-pollinating, Zone: 4-7. 

 

Captivator - H: 3-5ft, W: 3-5ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: High yields of pink/purple fruit that ripen in July and are good for desserts, Note: Thornless, high resistance to mildew and leaf spot, self-pollinating, and developed in Ottawa, Canada, Zone: 3a.

 

Friend (TM) - H: 2-3ft, W: 2-3ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Sweet large red/pink fruit that ripen in July and are good to eat fresh or use in pies and preserves. Note: Ukrainian variety, thornless self-pollinating, and resistant to powdery mildew, Zone: 3. 

 

Hinnomaki Red - H: 3-5ft, W: 3-5ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Medium size berries that are maroon in color with tart skins and sweet juicy flesh, and ripen in July, Note: Some resistance to mildew and self-pollinating, Zone: 3-6.

 

Hinnomaki Yellow - H: 2-3ft, W: N/A, Fruit: Medium to large size berries that are yellow and sweet with a hint of apricot flavor. Fruit ripens in July. Note: Variety is from Finland and said to be somewhat mildew resistant. Also, variety is self-pollinating. Zone: 3-8. 

 

Invicta - H: 3-5ft, W: 3-6ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Large green berries that ripen in July. Fruit is good for pies and preserves. Note: This variety is resistant to mildew and good for mechanical harvest.  Variety is also self-pollinating and also said to produce twice the yields of other green gooseberry varieties. Zone: 3-8.

 

Jahns Prairie - H: 5ft, W: 5ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Good quality of pink/red fruit, Note: Wild variety from Alberta, Canada, self-pollinating, resistant to mildew, leaf spot and grey mold (Botrytis), Zone: 3-9.

 

Jeanne - H: 5ft, W: 5ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Sweet large dark red berries that ripen in July, Note: Good producer and self-pollinating, Zone: 4-8.

 

Pixwell - H: 3-5 ft, W: 3-5ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Large green berries with pink blush that ripen in July. Fruit is good for pies and preserves. Note: Variety is self-pollinating. Zone: 3-8. 

 

Poorman - H: 3-4ft, W: 3-4ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Large sweet red berries that ripen in July and are good for fresh eating, pies, and preserves, Note: Heirloom variety that is mildew resistant and self-pollinating, Zone: 3-10. 

 

Selby - H: 3-5ft, W: 3-5 ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Large purple red berries that are flavorful and sweet. Fruit ripens in July. Note: Canadian variety that is disease resistant and self-pollinating. 

 

Shefford - H: 3-5ft, W: 3-5ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: This variety produces large yellow/green fruit that crisp and sweet. Fruit ripens in July. Note: Candian variety that was introduced through the Germplasm Repository in Corvalis, Oregan. Also, said to be thornless and disease resistant. Zone: 3-7. 

 

Tixia - H: 3-4ft, W: 3-4ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Large red berries that ripen in July and are good for pies, juice, and preserves, Note: Self-pollinating and resistant to mildew, Zone: 3-8.

 

Shipping and delivery unavailable for potted plants. Pickup of potted plants available on farm or at farmers' market after May 15th.
