Amish - H: 2-3ft, W: 4-6ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Medium size deep red fruit that ripens in July. Note: Variety is said to be somewhat resistant to powdery mildew and other fungal diseases. Zone: 4-8.
Black Velvet - H: 3-5 ft, W: 3-5 ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Large, sweet dark purple fruit with a blueberry like flavor that ripens in late July, Note: Disease resistant and self-pollinating, Zone: 4-7.
Captivator - H: 3-5ft, W: 3-5ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: High yields of pink/purple fruit that ripen in July and are good for desserts, Note: Thornless, high resistance to mildew and leaf spot, self-pollinating, and developed in Ottawa, Canada, Zone: 3a.
Champion - H: 4-6, W: 4-6 ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Medium to large berries that are yellowish green in color with a red blush. Ripens in July. Fruit is good for canning, desserts, eating fresh, pies, preserves, and more. Note: A mildew resistant variety and self-pollinating. Zone: 4- 10.
Cowester - H: 2-6 ft, W: 2-6 ft, Sun: Part to full, Fruit: Large berries that ripen in July. Note: A seedling that was a cross between divaricatum and a white-stemmed gooseberry which shows some resistance to root rot. A self-pollinating variety. Zone: 5.
Hinnomaki Red - H: 3-5ft, W: 3-5ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Medium size berries that are maroon in color with tart skins and sweet juicy flesh, and ripen in July, Note: Some resistance to mildew and self-pollinating, Zone: 3-6.
Jahns Prairie - H: 5ft, W: 5ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Good quality of pink/red fruit, Note: Wild variety from Alberta, Canada, self-pollinating, resistant to mildew, leaf spot and grey mold (Botrytis), Zone: 3-9.
Jeanne - H: 5ft, W: 5ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Sweet large dark red berries that ripen in July, Note: Good producer and self-pollinating, Zone: 4-8.
Pankiw – 3-5 ft, W: 3-5 ft, Sun: Full, Fruit, Fruit: Medium size green/pink berries. Note: This variety selected in 1945 by Nicholas Pankiw from seeds that were collected from Ukraine in 1938, and cultivar was release in 1953 in Manitoba, Canada. Plants are said to grow well in heavy soils. Zone: 5.
Pixwell - H: 3-5 ft, W: 3-5ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Large green berries with pink blush that ripen in July. Fruit is good for pies and preserves. Note: Variety is self-pollinating. Zone: 3-8.
