These are the following varieties of Nanking bush cherries we carry in 1 gal pots:
Gabe: H: 4-8ft, W: 8ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: White cherries that are sweet and low in acid. Fruit ripens in July. Note: Needs another variety of Nanking cherry to pollinate with. Note: Variety was selected by Michael McConkey. Zone: 3-7.
Ian - H: 4-6ft, W: 6, Sun: Full, Fruit: White cherries that ripen in July with a sweeter flavor than the traditional red Nanking cherries. Note: Need two different varieties for pollination and does well in drought conditions. Zone: 3-7.
Jules - H: 4-6ft, W: 6, Sun: Full, Fruit: White cherries that ripen in July with a sweeter flavor than the traditional red Nanking cherries. Note: Need two different varieties for pollination. Zone: 3-7.
Red - H: 6-10ft, W: 6-10ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Dark red cherries that are similar to the sour type and can be used for pies and preserves. Fruit ripens in July-August, Note: Native to Asia and short lived, so replant propagates often, can be used as dwarfing rootstock for other cherries, needs another Nanking cherry as a pollinator. Zone: 2.
Roger's Select - H: 6-10ft, W: 6-10ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Purple/red cherries that are similar to the sour type and can be used for pies and preserves. Fruit ripens in July-August, Note: This seedling of Red Nanking cherry was growing on Ort Family Farm and found to have to have darker red fruit compared to others from the same batch of seedlings. You need 2 Nanking cherries for best pollination. Zone: 2. Sold Out for 2023
