These are the following varieties of nanking cherries (Prunus tomentosa) we carry in 1 gal pots:

 

Cheropugy - H: 5-6 ft, W: 3-4 ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Red cherries that are similar to sour cherries and can be used from pies and preserves. The fruit ripens in early July. Note: This variety is a selection from fruit collector Vojtech Slavetinsky of the Czech Republic. Also, this variety needs another variety or seedling of Nanking cherry to pollinate with. Zone: 4-8. 

 

Gabe - H: 4-8ft, W: 8ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: White cherries that are sweet and low in acid. Fruit ripens in July. Note: Needs another variety of Nanking cherry to pollinate with.  Note: Variety was selected by Michael McConkey. Zone: 3-7. 

 

Ian - H: 4-6ft, W: 6, Sun: Full, Fruit: White cherries that ripen in July with a sweeter flavor than the traditional red Nanking cherries. Note: Need two different varieties for pollination and does well in drought conditions. Zone: 3-7.

 

Jules - H: 4-6ft, W: 6, Sun: Full, Fruit: White cherries that ripen in July with a sweeter flavor than the traditional red Nanking cherries. Note: Need two different varieties for pollination. Zone: 3-7.

 

Red - H: 6-10ft, W: 6-10ft, Sun: Full, Fruit: Dark red cherries that are similar to the sour type and can be used for pies and preserves. Fruit ripens in July-August, Note: Native to Asia and short lived, so replant propagates often, can be used as dwarfing rootstock for other cherries, needs another Nanking cherry as a pollinator. Zone: 2.

 

Shipping only available in NY State between May 31st and October 31st. Pickup of potted plants available on the farm or at farmers' market after May 31st and before October 31st.
