Below are the varieties of red currants (Ribes rubrum) we offer in 1 gal pots:

 

Honeywood - H: 3-5ft, W: N/A, Sun: Full, Fruit: Sweet/​tart red berries that are good for eating and preserves, Note: Canadian variety the produces large crops and is very disease resistant. Self-pollinating, Zone: 3-8.

 

London Market - H: 4-5ft, W: N/A, Sun: Full, Fruit: Large berries that ripen in July. Note: Self-pollinating, Zone: 3-7.

 

Perfection - H: 3-5, W: 3-6ft, Sun: Part to full, Fruit: Large dark red berries that have high antioxidant and phenolic content. Fruit ripens in July. Note: Variety is reported to be resistant to White Pine Blister Rust. Zone: 3-9.

 

Tatran - H: 4-6 ft, W: 3-4 ft, Sun: Part to full, Fruit: Chains of bright red berries that ripen in July, but later than most other red currant cultivars.

 

Viking - H: 3-5ft, W: N/A, Sun: Full, Fruit: Sweet berries that ripen in July. Note: Developed in Norway and imported to USA in 1930s as well as resistant to white pine rust and powdery mildew, Zone: 3-5.

 

Wilder - H: 4-6ft, W: 2-5ft, Sun: Fruit: Medium size dark red berries that ripen in July. Note: A high yielding variety and self-pollinating, Zone: 3-8. Sold out for 2023
