These are the types of sage which we offer in 3.5/4.5 inch pots:

 

Berggarten (Salvia officinalis) - H: 1-3 ft, W: 1-3 ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 5-9, Description: Bushy plant with oval/round fuzzy gray leaves and spikes of blue flowers. Uses: Used traditionally with turkey and stuffing, but is good also with chicken, pork, and veggies. Pairs well with other herbs like oregano and thymes in recipes. Note: Perennial, drought tolerant, and deer resistant. 

 

Clary (Salvia sclarea) - H: 2-3 ft, W: 2-3 ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 5-9, Description: Bushy plant with large, fuzzy, oval/round shaped, gray leaves and blue/lilac flowers. Uses: Young tops can be used in omelets, jellies, and soups. Leaves can be used in salads and for teas. Flowers dry well too. Note: Biennial, drought tolerant, and deer resistant. 

 

Dwarf (Salvia officinalis) - H: 8-12 inches, W: 1-2 ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 5-8, Description: Short bushy plant with oblong shaped, gray leaves that have the traditional sage flavor. Purple/blue flowers. Uses: Can be used the same way as other garden sages like Common and Berggarten. Flowers can be used as a garnish. Note: Perennial, drought tolerant, deer resistant, and good for containers. 

 

Golden (Salvia officinalis) - H: 1-2 ft, W: 1-2 ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 4-8, Description: Shorty bushy plant with oblong shaped green and gold leaves and purple/blue flowers pikes. Uses: Leaves can be used in tea and as garish. Note: Perennial, deer resistant, and drought tolerant. 

 

Pineapple (Salvia elegans) - H: 3-4 ft, W: 3 ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 7-9, Description: Tall, bushy plant with light green leaves, red stems and red that all smell and taste like pineapple. Uses: Leaves are good for fruit salads, pizza sauce, salsas, tea, and vegetable salads. Good as a garnish on cheesecake or ice cream. Note: Annual, attracts hummingbirds, deer resistant, and drought tolerant. 

 

Purple (Salvia officinalis) - H: 2 ft, W: 2 ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 4-9, Description: Bushy plant with oblong green/purple leaves with lilac/blue flowers. Uses: Leaves can be used like common sage to season sausages, soups, stews, and stuffings. This sage is also said to be the most effective for medicinal purposes. s. Note: Perennial, drought tolerant, and deer resistant. 

 

Tricolor (Salvia officinalis) - H: 2 ft, W: 2 ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 4-8, Description: Bushy plant with oblong green/purple/white leaves with lilac/blue flowers. Uses: Good for sausage, stuffing, and teas. Note: Perennial, deer resistant, and drought resistant.

 

White (Salvia apiana)- H: 2-5ft, W: 3-5ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 8-10, Description: A large bushy evergreen plant with silver/white leaves and white/lavender flowers. Uses: Leaves and stems can be used for incense and smudge sticks. Leaves can also be used in tea. Note: Plants can tolerate clay soil, drought tolerant, deer resistant, and native to the southwestern US and northwestern Mexico. 

 

Plants are available for pickup and shipping between May 31st and October 31st.
